Where is the practice?
It is at Konaklı Mah. Telat Efendi Cd. Cimrin B Blok No:3/2A, Alanya, behind Migros and next to the 7th Notary. It is open Monday – Saturday 09:00 – 20:00 and closed on Sundays.
My pregnancy test is positive. When should I come for an examination?
You are advised to book an appointment once the test is positive. In the very early weeks the gestational sac may not yet be visible on ultrasound; in that case a check is planned shortly afterwards. If there is bleeding or severe pain, do not wait to be seen.
How often are check-ups done in pregnancy?
The intervals between check-ups depend on the week of pregnancy and on the condition of the mother and baby. Check-ups that are less frequent in the first months usually become more frequent in the last weeks. Your schedule is planned together with you at the appointment.
At which week of pregnancy is a 4D ultrasound done?
For a 4D image, the period from the middle of the second trimester to the start of the third trimester is generally preferred. The suitable week may vary with factors such as the baby’s position and the amniotic fluid; your doctor will suggest the right time for you.
Are 4D ultrasound and detailed ultrasound the same thing?
No. A 4D ultrasound shows the baby’s surface in motion. A detailed ultrasound is a medical assessment in which the baby’s organs and development are examined systematically. Both can be done in the same session, but their purposes are different.
How often should I have a smear test?
The smear test is used to screen for cervical cancer. The screening interval varies with age, previous results and whether an HPV test has been done. The right interval for you is decided at the appointment.
What should I watch out for before a smear test?
It is recommended that the test is done outside your period. Avoiding vaginal douching, vaginal medication and sexual intercourse for a day or two before the test helps make the result more reliable.
My periods are irregular. Is this a sign of illness?
Irregular periods can have many causes: stress, weight changes, hormonal disorders (PCOS, thyroid, etc.), and womb-related causes such as fibroids or polyps. If the irregularity continues or there is bleeding between periods, it needs to be assessed with an examination and ultrasound.
Does a chocolate cyst always need surgery?
No. The size of the cyst, your symptoms, your age and whether you want children are considered together. In some cases monitoring or medication may be enough; in others laparoscopy comes into question. The decision is made from the examination and ultrasound findings.
We cannot have a baby. When should we seek help?
In general, an assessment is recommended if pregnancy does not happen within a year despite regular unprotected intercourse; if the woman is over 35, this period is shorter. In the assessment, the woman and the man are considered together.
What is HSG, and is it painful?
HSG (hysterosalpingography) is an X-ray examination using contrast dye to show the inside of the womb and whether the tubes are open. During the procedure you may feel a cramp similar to period pain; this varies from person to person. The right timing and preparation are explained to you beforehand.
Do you see international patients too?
Yes. International patients who live in Alanya or are visiting can also come for an examination. This site can be read in Turkish, English and Russian; you can reach us in writing on WhatsApp to book.
How can I find out the cost of an examination?
The fee varies with the examination and tests to be done. To find out, you can write to us on WhatsApp or call the practice.
